Need a good scare? Haunted houses, ghost walks, and giant skeletons, oh my!

Spooky season is upon us and there are lots of fun and frightening things to do while visiting Danville and Boyle County.

For a good scare, check out:

Hustonville Haunted House

Hustonville Haunted House, located at 4045 Hustonville Road in Junction City, is a Halloween season must. Featuring two attractions – The 23 Days of Feeding Corn Maze and the House of Feared Souls. Tickets can be purchased online at www.hustonvillehh.com or at the ticket booth.

Perryville Walking Ghost Tour

Take a stroll in historic downtown Perryville, the home to one of the bloodiest civil war battles in Kentucky. Learn about local history and haunts on this walking tour and if you’re lucky you may even see one of Perryville’s many ghosts. Currently there is a ghost tour scheduled for October 8th and a living history ghost walk on October 29th. Additional dates may be added. For more information visit the Main Street Perryville Facebook page.

Danville Skeletons Food Drive

Check out this downtown Danville residence, located on Maple Avenue, that takes Halloween decorating to the next level, and all for a good cause. Homeowners Janie Taylor and Andy Rose, with the help of a few Gravely Hall Theater tech students from Danville High School, are once again planning to put out her locally-famous skeleton display. You can expect to see the skeletons up at the beginning of October, but if they disappear for a short while don’t worry – they have planned some costume changes throughout the month. Not only is this a fun way to celebrate the season, it is all for a good cause. Come take a “skelfie” and donate a canned food item. Skelfie hours are from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. daily. Rumor has it there will be more skeletons popping up around Danville, so keep your eyes out. To follow along and stay up to date check out the Danville Skeletons page on Facebook.

Haunted Car Wash

Come support this haunted car wash that gives to charity. Check out Suds & Screams at Car Wash Express at 306 Skywatch Drive. Each Saturday from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. a different local organization will be hosting, and a percentage of proceeds will go to that organization. For more information about Suds and Screams visit the Car Wash Express Facebook page.
