This year’s Soul of 2nd Street Festival highlights the African American Business District in Downtown Danville and shares African American history and culture.

On Friday, Aug. 4, events get started from 7-10 p.m. at Morley’s Backyard (234 E. Walnut Street) with a history display and kickoff celebration, including live music by Michaelfly Music.

On Saturday, Aug. 5, from 4-10 p.m. at Constitution Square, there will be music, food vendors, merchandise and crafts.
