Grab your friends and get ready to run (or jog, or walk, or boogie). We are returning to our traditional Sunday evening race time this year on Sunday, September 15.

Online registration will be open soon – for now, save the date!

Join us for the 41st annual (!!!) Constitution 5K, now in its 11th year as the Run for the Arts, benefiting the Community Arts Center. This race is organized by the fabulous folks at Danville Bike and Footwear.

Why is the Run for the Arts so fabulous? As one the region’s longest-standing races, the Run for the Arts is also one of the last remaining downtown races. There are very few opportunities to enjoy a beautiful (mostly flat and fast) run through the streets of historic Danville, KY.

Plus there are other important race perks. Our race shirts are the best – you will actually want to wear it again. Also, we give out GREAT prizes, hand-crafted by local artist Paul Muth of Sugar Grove Pottery & Eclectica.

In addition to awards by age level, this year we are also giving out an award for Most Artistic Running Ensemble, so grab some face paint, stick a feather in your hair, or otherwise display your very own artistic flare.

The Run for the Arts is family-friendly, but if you’ve got kids too young to run and too big for the stroller, you can sign them up for supervised art activities from 4:30pm to 6:15pm inside the Arts Center. Just $5 per child.
