Kentucky native, artist, and songwriter MIRAAGE originally came onto the scene with his 2014 release “Donuts & Coffee”, which is an album celebrating the life and work of legendary producer J-Dilla. The project was well received by the hip-hop community and was highly acclaimed by Dillas’ mother “Ma Dukes”.
Born Ian Gabriel, MIRAAGE combines Nas-Like storytelling and witty metaphors similar to Kendrick Lamar to form his intricate flow over unique instrumentation. After taking time to hone his songwriting- he began to weave hip-hop elements into catchy, Funk/Pop rhythms to create a truly unique sound.
Recently he continued his evolution, changing his name to MIRAAGE with 2 A’s, meaning- ‘After All’ that took place in his life and career- he has reached a new level.
MIRAAGE uses his talent and hit-making abilities to impact the world with his unique perspectives. His music continues to grow and flourish, and the people that listen to his music do the same.
