Honor Flight Bluegrass B-25 at the Danville – Boyle County Airport

Honor Flight Bluegrass B-25
On Sunday, July 17, a B-25 Mitchell bomber presented by Honor Flight Bluegrass and sponsored by the Kentucky Veterans Program Trust Fund will be at the Danville – Boyle County airport to give five WWII veterans a free ride in the WWII-era aircraft. The B-25 is scheduled to arrive at 9:30 am and the veterans’ ride will take place at 10:30 am. The airplane will then be open for public viewing from 11:30 a.m.-2 pm. The public is welcome to attend to view the airplane.
The B-25 “Show Me” was built in 1944 and is operated by the Commemorative Air Force wing in St. Louis. The airplane will also visit Paducah, Russellville, London and Bardstown as part of it’s tour of Kentucky.
