Danville Connection can get you to and from Lexington

If you are planning to fly or take a Greyhound bus to Lexington as part of your journey to Danville, you may want to look into an inexpensive transportation option that’ll get you from Lexington down to Danville and then back to Lexington when it’s time for you to go home.

The Danville Connection, a service of the Blue Grass Community Action Partnership, can get you to and from Danville with stops at the Blue Grass Airport, the Greyhound Bus Terminal and LexTran’s main terminal on Vine Street. In Danville, pickup and dropoff locations include the Danville BUS Stop, Centre College and the Boyle County Public Library.

This intercity route from Danville to Lexington is available to the general public, including riders with disabilities. You just need to call 1-800-456-6588 24 hours in advance to schedule your pickup. There is a $10 round trip fare (cash, exact change only).

You can take advantage of Danville Connection Monday through Saturday. Hours of service and coordinated departure times (based upon coordination, availability, and demand) may generally be requested. Actual times may vary according to traffic conditions, weather conditions, and other factors.

You will have to load and unload your own belongings and those under 13 will have to be accompanied by an adult.

The service is offered year around, with the exceptions of New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Availability is also subject to road conditions in cases of inclement weather.
