The museum houses a collection of Civil War memorabilia, as well as artifacts from historic Parks General Store and Dr. Jefferson Polk's home and office. The Museum walls tell the story of The Battle of Perryville in graphics. Photos and quotations from actual soldiers capture the feeling of what it was like in 1862. Display cases house artifacts, uniforms and weapons. The museum has the perfect blend of interactive 21st century technology combined with artifacts, photos and graphics of actual people and places relating to The Battle of Perryville.The museum at Perryville State Historic Site is a must visit for Civil War buffs.
